University of Houston Capstone Team 6 - Blog 5 From the work period of December 11, 2023 to February 3, 2024, Seal Team 6 has completed milestone 4 task 4b. In task 4b, multiple revisions of the bills of materials (BOM) and drawings were sent and revised with the client Schlumberger (SLB). The team is currently working on BOM revision #3 and document drawings revision #3. During the winter break, the team received 90% of the materials for the project (such as the aluminum extrusions, heating band, PID controller, etc.). Some of the members met at Jamar's Murry, the UH machinist, workshop to create tap holes in the aluminum extrusions to assemble the frame structure. Currently, the team is working on task 4c with an expected deadline of 2/18/24. In task 4c, the inner components of the compression mechanism need to be sent to the SLB machinist to be machined and attached to the aluminum frame polymer spring testing device (PSTD).
